Instructor, Fashion Marketing
Gretchen Harnick is a Part Time Instructor of Fashion Marketing at Parsons and The New School University. She also currently teaches in the Masters of Luxury Management program at Skema Business School in China and France. Her work spans more than 20 years of experience driving brand communication strategies in the fashion, retail, and lifestyle industries. She launched and managed all of the social media for the School of Fashion creating a powerful online presence for the university. Gretchen channels her research and passions for mentoring fashion entrepreneurs into launching Pattern to Plan, an online global fashion incubator.
She holds a BA in Psychology from Wittenberg University and an MBA in Marketing from Case Western Reserve University. She is a proud alumna of the IAU Study Abroad, Aix-en-Provence, taken her senior year of undergraduate.
She has taught semester-long programs and summer intensives in Paris since 2008 on global marketing and management, fashion industry trends, and social media marketing. Her research interests of social media marketing and digital strategy along with private consulting work take her to Tokyo, Suzhou, Amsterdam, London, Cannes and Paris.
