History of MICA Ahmedabad

MICA Ahmedabad was established in 1991 by a former advertising executive, AG Krishnamurthy. He was the founding chairman and managing director of Mumbai-based advertising holding firm – DDB Mudra Group. At the time of establishment, MICA was an autonomous post-graduate academic institute. It was previously known as Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. As part of the branding refreshment, the current brand identity “MICA” came into existence in 2014. During the 19th convocation of the institute (March 29, 2014), along with the visual identity, the B-school also unveiled its strategic intent and Vision 2020.
